Insurance Validation Surveys
The craft will be surveyed to ensure that the yacht or small craft is structurally sound and equipped with the correct safety equipment, as per the statutory requirements for recreational craft in Ireland. The survey has got nearly as much work as a Pre-Purchase Survey or Full Condition Survey, the scope of this survey may be reduced however, considering the requirements of the insurers. It is advisable therefore to check the extent of the survey required, by the insurance company beforehand.
The report is completed to the same standard as a Full Condition Survey.
Please Note: The Insurance Validation Survey should not be viewed as an unfortunate necessity just to satisfy an insurance company but as a timely inspection on the vessel which will draw the owner's attention to any unsuspected problems.
